REFURBISHING PROCESS:

» Remove all waycovers and inspect all way wipers, replacing as necessary. Clean under waycovers and all areas of machine. Minor dents if waycovers will be repaired and waycover seals replaced where necessary. Machine has 2 new Y axis waycovers installed.
» Replace ball screws on both X and Y axes

» Remove gib plates and gibs. Hand scrape gibs to fit and verify locking of gibs in holders, repair as needed.

» Replace thrust bearings on both X and Y axes.

» Replace air filter / regulator assembly
» Replace X and Y axis armature and encoder cables as needed.
» Inspect and replace lube metering units as necessary. Replace any "questionable" lube lines and flex strap.
» Test function of all buttons, lights, and other user input devices. Repair / replace as needed.
» Service planetary gearbox or mechanical shifting mechanism: change lube, filter and inspect / adjust shifter as necessary
»  Replace spindle drives belts and encoder belt with new.
» Test run machine, and perform Renishaw BallBar test in X-Y plane to confirm accuracy. Adjust servos and machine mechanics as needed. Test results will ship with machine.
